Strength Training for Endurance Athletes
Endurance athletes tend to believe that more miles will make them faster, stronger and more resilient, but the reality is that can only be achieved through strength training. Not only can a proper strength training routine reduce the risk of common overuse injuries such as runner's knee and ITB pain, but it can also greatly increase the efficiency of your endurance work, meaning you can get the same training adaptations with less time spent on the road or the trails. You don't have to lift like a bodybuilder or a power lifter, instead you can lift like an endurance athlete.
Our programs give you two to three short (1 hour or less) workouts per week and gives them to you in a way that will teach you how to work them into your current training program or lifestyle. This program typically includes weekly breath and mobility work as well, designed to help you reach your full potential as an athlete. Workouts are sent out weekly but can be adjusted based on your needs.
